I departed Greensboro, North Carolina, at 6:05 AM on February 18th and arrived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, at 11:05 PM on February 19th. The long trip included a five-hour layover in Shanghai. Hotel Nine arranged for a taxi to meet me at the airport, and although the reception was unstaffed at that late hour, the hotel had a security guard who welcomed me and helped me to my room.
Although I’m only staying a few hours before catching a bus to Siem Reap, I’ll be back at the hotel later in the week when I return to Phnom Penh for the CamTESOL conference.
